2016-17 (Junior): Continued her role as a freestyle swimmer for the Raiders, expanding to additional sprint races in addition to distance freestyle events…competed individually in the 100-yard, 200-yard, 500-yard, and 1,000-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…recorded a season best in the 1,000-yard freestyle at the conference meet…achieved season bests in the 100-yard, 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle at the Patriot Invitational.
2015-16 (Sophomore): Maintained her status as a valuable freestyle swimmer for the Raiders in her second season…contributed to a ninth-place finish with the 200-yard freestyle relay at the PSAC Championships…competed individually in the 100-yard, 200-yard, 500-yard, and 1,000-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…notched season bests in the 200-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle at the PSAC Championships…achieved season bests in the 100-yard freestyle at the Bomber Invitational and in the 500-yard freestyle at the Patriot Invitational.
2014-15 (Freshman): Debuted as a freestyle swimmer in multiple events for the Raiders during her first season…competed in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, 1,000-yard freestyle, and the 200-yard backstroke at the PSAC Championships…achieved her PR in the 1,000 freestyle at the PSAC Championships…set career pace for the 200 freestyle at George Mason’s Patriot Invitational.
Thomas S. Wootton High School: Swam for the Patriots under head coach Jackie Emr and for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club (RMSC) under coach Jim Williams…was a four-time qualifier for the Metropolitan Interscholastic Championships and achieved a Coaches Award as a sophomore…compiled PRs of 1:59.60 in the 200 freestyle, 5:15.54 in the 500 freestyle and 10:56.21 in the 1,000 freestyle.
About Welch: Full name is Jeannette Marie Welch…is the daughter of Joe and Lisa Welch…majoring in exercise science while seeking a minor in biology.
