2008 (Junior): Continued his role as team’s punter while taking over place kicking duties…finished with 71 punts for 2,752 yards and 52 kickoffs for 2,703 yards…averaged 38.8 yards per punt and 52 yards per kickoff…converted 5-of-11 field goal attempts…tallied eight touchbacks while 22 of his punts landed inside the 20 and six of his punts stretched upwards of 50 yards…booted nine or more punts in a game on five occasions, including 10 against Shepherd and Bloomsburg…posted an average of 40 or more yards per punt in six games…excelled against the Rams, averaging 42.6 yards over the course of 10 punts…his hangtime limited Shepherd to just 47 return yards while four kicks landed inside the 20…made an impact on special teams coverage downfield with six solo tackles and one tackle assist.
2007 (Sophomore): Totaled 69 punts for 2,728 yards in his second season with the Red Raiders…earned a Second Team All-PSAC selection for his efforts…finished second in the PSAC in punts inside the 20-yard line with 22, seven behind Lock Haven’s Brandon Pickel…ranked sixth in the PSAC with a 39.5 yards per punt average and 27th in Division II…booted a season-long punt of 70 yards at Liberty on September 8, a game in which he posted season game-highs in punts (10) and average yards per punt (45.3)…kicked just five touchbacks for the season…completed a pass for a nine-yard completion and a first down against Kutztown on September 15...finished five games with punts of 50 yards or more…never averaged fewer than 36 yards per punt for a game on the season.
2006 (Freshman): Named All-PSAC Western Division First Team as a punter…it was the third-straight year that the team had its punter earn all-conference first team honors…also earned All-Northeast Region Second Team honors from Daktronics, Inc. and Don Hansen’s Football Gazette…finished second in the conference in punting average at 39.7…average also ranked 20th in Division II…totaled 50 punts for 1,986 yards…had a long punt of 63 yards against California (Pa.)…15 of his 50 punts were downed inside the 20-yard line…only three punts went for touchbacks…had eight punts of over 50 yards, including a 51 and 58-yarder at Lock Haven…also had two punts over 50 yards at Slippery Rock with a 54 and 50-yarder…had a punt of 56 yards against Bloomsburg…also had one punt for 53 yards versus Indiana (Pa.) and one for 52 yards at West Chester…ended the season with a 51 yard punt at Edinboro…averaged a season-high 45.5 yards on four punts at Slippery Rock.
Bedford High School: Three-year letterman…played for head coach Wes Swaim…played quarterback and defensive back in addition to the kicking and punting duties…posted 139 tackles as a junior and senior defensive back…totaled over 400 yards rushing and over 1,000 yards passing as a senior…compiled 180 return yards on two interceptions in which he scored touchdowns…also completed over 60 percent of his passes and totaled 14 combined touchdowns…kicked two game-winning field goals as a junior…averaged 39.9 yards per punt as a senior…also lettered in baseball.
