SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University football team has earned the No. 4 seed in Super Region 1 for the 2017 NCAA Division II Football Championships, marking the sixth postseason appearance in school history.
 
Shippensburg (10-1) will host West Chester (8-3) in an NCAA First Round game on Saturday from SU Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium. Game time will be either noon or 1 p.m.
 
The Red Raiders are 3-5 all-time in the NCAA Football Playoffs; a full listing of games is below.
 
IUP is the No. 1 seed in Super Region 1, which results in a first-round bye. The Crimson Hawks will host the winner of the SU – WCU matchup on Nov. 25.
 
The other first-round matchups from Super Region 1 will be No. 2 seed Shepherd hosting No. 7 seed Findlay, and No. 3 seed Assumption hosting No. 6 seed California (Pa.).
