// Chat With Mac (WHAG-TV)SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Shippensburg University football team travels to Edinboro this weekend for a noon start on Saturday against the Fighting Scots.
Saturday's game is the only noon start for the Red Raiders all season. The Red Raiders, picked tied for third in the PSAC Eastern Division Preseason Coaches' Poll, went 6-5 last season after winning three of their last four games. The winning season was head coach
Mark Maciejewski's fourth in four years at the helm.
The Fighting Scots, picked seventh in the PSAC Western Division Preseason Coaches' Poll, finished tied for sixth with a trio of teams, including Seton Hill and Clarion, last season.
Live audio coverage of the game will be provided by Shippensburg University's student radio station (WSYC) and over terrestrial radio at 88.7 FM. Shippensburg holds a 25-24-1 lead in the series history. SU has won the last two meetings after losing four straight to Edinboro from 2005-2008.
Edinboro owned the Red Raiders from 1982-1997, winning 13-of-15 meetings. However, since then, the Red Raiders have won nine of the last 14 matchups.
Shippensburg has not been to Edinboro since 2009, when the Red Raiders beat Edinboro 24-14 on their way to becoming PSAC champions later that season.
The Red Raiders started slowly in last season's meeting, but outscored the Fighting Scots, 40-7, in the middle two quarters on the way to a 47-21 victory. That victory came in coach
Mark Maciejewski's first game against the Fighting Scots. After playing Edinboro and California (Pa.) last season, Coach Mac has played every PSAC team at least once.
The Red Raiders tied a 2014 season-high with five sacks against Edinboro last season.
