SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The No. 15 Shippensburg University football team hosts its first playoff game in four years on
Saturday at 12:05 p.m. from SU Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium and will face No. 10 Bloomsburg in the opening round of the 2012 NCAA Division II Football Championships.
TICKETS: Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Ticket prices are set by the NCAA. The gates to the stadium open at 10:30 a.m. while parking lots for fans can be accessed beginning at 9:30 a.m.
FIRST 500 STUDENTS FREE: The first 500 Shippensburg University students will be admitted free of charge. SU students wishing to take advantage of the discount must display an official SU student ID to be admitted. The student entrance will be located at the ticket gates on the Heiges Field House side of Seth Grove Stadium. All other student tickets cost $5.
LIVE COVERAGE 1: SUTV will broadcast the game as it has for all home football contests during the 2012 regular season. The game will be available online through a web-stream at
www.ship.edu/goraiders and also be shown on terrestrial television on Comcast community access channel 21 and campus channel 82. A student radio broadcast of the game will be available on 88.7 FM in Shippensburg and can be accessed online at
www.wsyc.org.
LIVE COVERAGE 2: SportsFEVER will broadcast the game live and air the game on a number of affiliates, including The Comcast Network, FOX 43 (WPMT-TV), CBS 22 (WYOU-TV) and Blue Ridge Cable. A tape delay will air Tuesday evening on Root Sports Pittsburgh. The game is also expected to air online at Watch ESPN.
NCAA INFORMATION: Shippensburg (10-1) has earned a NCAA tournament berth for the third time in the last nine years and is making its fifth NCAA postseason appearance in school history (1981, 1991, 2004, 2009, 2012).
RE-MATCH: Three weeks ago, Shippensburg hosted Bloomsburg in an epic battle that went the way of the Red Raiders, 49-42. The two teams combined for 1,163 yards of total offense and nine turnovers in a clash that came down to the final seconds, with junior quarterback

COACHES: The Red Raiders are coached by Mark “Mac” Maciejewski '92/'96M, the 2012 PSAC Eastern Division Coach of the Year, who has guided the team to a 17-5 record since the start of the 2011 season. The Huskies are coached by Danny Hale, who boasts a 173-55-1 record while in his 20th season at Bloomsburg. Hale has led the Huskies to their eighth NCAA postseason berth during his tenure.
GAME NOTES: Shippensburg enters Saturday's game with the nation's No. 1 total offense and No. 2 passing offense in addition to the No. 33 total defense. The Red Raiders are averaging 539.6 yards per game on offense (including 392 yards per game through the air) while yielding 340 yards per game on defense. SU is also averaging 48.8 points per game, which ranks second in the nation behind Henderson State (53.3 ppg).
