SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -
The ninth annual Shippensburg University Father & Son Basketball Camp will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 19-20 from Heiges Field House on the campus of Shippensburg University. For additional camp information, please contact head coach Dave Springer at 717-477-1449 or through e-mail at cdspri@ship.edu.

Overnight camp runs from Saturday at 8 a.m. to Sunday at 11 a.m. Ages 6-16 will be accepted with online registration available by accessing the above brochure or by calling 717-477-1256.

The camp provides an experience to be remembered throughout your lives. By offering this overnight camp, you can enjoy the father and son bond of friendship and encouragement while developing your basketball skills. Director Dave Springer and his SU staff and players will provide detailed instruction to both son and father. The goal is to outline a basic skill development program that parents can employ to help their son practice and improve in the fundamentals of basketball.

There will be a special presentation from Jaren Gembe, a senior on the Shippensburg University Basketball team and Garon Gembe, his father and the former head coach of Greencastle-Antrim High School. Joining the Gembes are Jordan Stasyszyn, a junior on the Shippensburg University Basketball team and Joe Stasyszyn, his father and the former head coach of Carlisle High School. Both players were coached by their fathers in high school and had outstanding careers.
