Shippensburg to Host National Girls and Women in Sports Day and Take a Kid to the Game Day

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg University athletics department has announced plans to hold National Girls and Women in Sports Day along with Take a Kid to the Game Day on Wednesday, February 24 amidst women's and men's basketball Senior Night from Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg will be hosting West Chester University in a basketball doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m. Admission for all children is just $1 with a paying adult. Fans will receive giveaways and promotions will be conducted at both halftimes.

Tau Kappa, Shippensburg University's women's athletic fraternity, will have a table present at the game and provide tattoos, face painting and giveaways. A sports fair will be held featuring student athletes from each athletic team on campus, and the athletics department will also present its annual Unsung Hero award at halftime of the women's basketball game.
