LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Sophomore Ed Buck was named the PSAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by conference officials after a strong weekend at the Bucknell Heptagonal scored meet in which Shippensburg finished fourth overall.

Buck thrived for Shippensburg in mid-distance. He finished fourth in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:31.21 that set a new indoor SU record, surpassing the previous mark of Justin Depasqua from 1998. He also finished second in the mile with a time of 4:14.29, the fastest in the PSAC this season.

Shippensburg has a busy weekend on tap. On Friday night, the DMR squad will compete at the Penn State National Invitational. SU will also compete on Friday and Saturday at the Bucknell Open and Multi.
