SU Freshman Neely Spence Blogs From Jordan

Shippensburg University freshman Neely Spence, the 2009 USA Junior Cross Country Champion, was the top American finisher at the 37th IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Amman, Jordan.

Neely finished in 19th place overall with a time of 21:33 that was just 79 seconds behind the top finisher, Genzebe Dibaba of Ethiopia.

On Thursday, Neely was named the team captain for the United States 6K squad. While in Jordan and the surrounding areas, Neely will share her experiences leading up to and following this year's championship race.
