NEW YORK CITY – Seven PSAC qualifying marks were achieved Friday by a small contingent of the Shippensburg men's indoor track and field that competed at the two-day New Balance Collegiate Invitational held at The Armory in northern Manhattan.
Three men achieved lifetime PRs in the 400 meters. Senior
Eric Wolfe, who broke 50 seconds indoors for the first time last week, ran even faster this week with a time of 49.55 seconds.
Freshman
Andrew Kujawski also broke 50 seconds, posting a time of 49.68 seconds, while redshirt freshman
Robert Bales crossed the finish line in 50.45 seconds.
Bales also picked up another PSAC qualifying mark in the 200-meter dash while sophomore
Matt Kujawski set a season PR in the event with a time of 22.25 seconds.
In the 60-meter hurdles, senior
Tyrek Nelson just missed his season PR with a time of 8.48 seconds. Fellow senior
Terrence Topping-Brown ran the sprint hurdles in 8.71 seconds.
Competition resumes at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Armory.
