2011 Softball Schedule

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg has released its 2011 softball schedule. The Lady Raider squad will feature five valuable seniors and as many as 11 other returning players in addition to a recruiting class that will provide depth at key positions. Head coach Bob Brookens returns for his 11th season at the helm of SU.

Shippensburg will open the season with back-to-back doubleheaders at Shaw and Chowan beginning February 19. The Lady Raiders will once again compete in the Catawba College Invitational (North Carolina), Rebel Spring Games (Florida) and West Virginia Wesleyan Tournament (Salem, Va.) before the start of divisional play.

The home schedule begins March 22 from Robb Field with a doubleheader against West Chester. Seven home doubleheaders are on this year's schedule, including non-conference matchups against IUP, Lock Haven and Shepherd.
