2011 Baseball Schedule

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg has released its 2011 baseball schedule. The Red Raider squad will boast as many as 21 returning players in addition to a talented recruiting class when it takes the field next season. Head coach Matt Jones returns for his fifth season at the helm of SU.

Shippensburg will open the season with a three-game series at Wingate beginning on February 5. Weekend trips to Catawba and USC-Aiken are also on tap before a neutral-site series against PSAC West rival Slippery Rock.

The home schedule begins March 11 from Fairchild Field with a three-game PSAC crossover series against Clarion. The Eastern Division schedule begins March 18 with SU once again facing Bloomsburg to open conference play.

Among the interesting mid-week games include a road game at Division I Bucknell on April 13 and home-and-home single games with Wilmington (Del.) and IUP. The regular season schedule concludes April 30 with a doubleheader at Mansfield.
