SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Head track and field coach Dave Osanitsch '96 has announced the 2010-11 recruiting class for the Lady Raider track and field/cross country program. The group of 27 newcomers includes 15 district medalists, six state medalists and three district champions.

“After scoring the most points in conference history outdoors, it will be a real challenge to match last year's team," Osanitsch said. "I think with the recruiting class we are bringing we should be right in the thick of things once again for a conference title. Slippery Rock, as always, will be there this upcoming year and Kutztown is really coming on. We will have to be at our very best if we hope to repeat as champions."

"Our cross country team this year if all goes well should perform at a very high level for Coach [Steve] Spence. We were able to attract some great talent in the mid-distance/distance events and also had a very solid recruitment in the pole vault and hurdle events. We also solidified areas like the throws and jumps. I am very pleased with this well balanced bunch.”
