SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg head women's soccer coach
Rob Fulton has confirmed the recruitment of 14 new student-athletes that have each agreed to attend the university and will suit up for the Lady Raider program when preseason camp gets underway in August.
Fulton has put together a very large class that is designed to help offset the loss of seven integral seniors, including starters at every position and two All-PSAC performers.
"The 2010 recruiting class is very athletic and contains many players who will provide good pace and speed to our lineup," Fulton said. "The incoming recruiting class contains some proven goal scorers, distributing central midfield players and some defenders who have the potential to make an immediate impact."
"Overall, I think we were able to add some hard working players who are excited to make an impact with Shippensburg," Fulton said. "I am looking forward to the potential of what this recruiting class can add to our program."

Kylee Bricker
Defense/Midfield • 5-4
Chambersburg/Chambersburg
About Bricker: Earned three varsity letters as a Trojan under the leadership of head coaches Shawn Stenger and Caleb Davis…netted five goals and tallied three assists entering the spring 2010 season…also played for CASA/CAPA, City Islanders and LDC United club programs…coached on club teams by Richard Chinapoo and Chris Colletti…solid academic student on the honor roll who served on Chambersburg's student government.
Alexandra Capecci
Defense/Midfield • 5-7
Easton/Nazareth
About Capecci: Earned three letters as a Blue Eagle under head coach Conner Fry…her 2009 team set a record for fewest goals allowed in a season, allowing just 11 goals…Blue Eagles finished 15-4-1 in 2009 and were division champions…in 2008, Nazareth finished 21-3-1 and finished second in the Lehigh Valley Conference and were PIAA District XI Champions…led a defense in 2008 that recorded a school record-16 shutouts…named a second-team selection to the Lehigh Valley All-Conference team in 2009 and a honorable mention selection in 2008…played for Nazareth Thunderhawks club team and head coach George Denger…team was ranked No. 177 in the nation for U18 clubs in 2006-2007...Thunderhawks finished undefeated during the 2006-2007 season.
Nicole Good
Midfield • 5-2
Lancaster/Hempfield
About Good: Solid midfielder who played a role in guiding Keith Nagley's Hempfield team to an appearance in the 2009 PIAA Class AAA State Finals…scored 10 goals and tallied 13 assists throughout her career…also played for club team Penn Legacy where her mother, Loren Good, was the head coach.
Rachel Hess
Midfield/Forward • 5-6
Lancaster/Penn Manor
About Hess: Earned three letters under head coach William Zapata at Penn Manor…scored 12 goals and registered two assists during junior season…broke out as a sophomore, scoring 13 goals and dishing two assists…named a First Team All-Star as a junior and Second Team All-Star as a sophomore…recorded one goal and four assists in freshman season…also played junior high basketball at Penn Manor.

About Kern: Four year letterwinner who played under head coach Stevie Ochse at Saucon Valley…also played for Lehigh Valley United's U18 team and was the club's 2009 top scorer…helped Lehigh Valley United's 2007 championship team to an undefeated season…played under Mark Wilson with the Lehigh Valley squad.

Ashley Vellucci at Penn Manor…played with multiple club teams including Rage United where she played two seasons and Lanco United Premier where she played four seasons…helped Rage United to a 2009 college showcase championship as well as an indoor state cup runner-up award…Lanco United Premier was the 2007 state champions while Lapp was a member.

About Mahon: Played for four seasons under head coach Emily Sprenkle and netted 18 goals and 21 assists as a center and outside midfielder for the Rockets…named an honorable mention all-star in 2008 and a first-team selection in 2009…participated in basketball and ran cross country at Spring Grove…played for club team Redland Extreme.
