Lady Raider Swimming Continues Its Competition During Day Three Of DII National Championships
McCandless impresses in the 500-yard freestyle for Shippensburg

CANTON, Ohio – The Shippensburg University women’s swimming team continued its competition from the 2010 Division II Swimming Championships during the third day of the meet at C.T. Branin Natatorium with performances in several events.
Sophomore
Kristen McCandless nearly reached the consolation finals of the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:06.75 that was good enough for 19th place. McCandless improved her season-best time by nearly two full seconds. Junior
Amy Fisher posted a time of 5:08.94.
Also in competition on Friday, freshman
Julia Brownrigg posted a time of 1:00.01 in the 100-yard backstroke.
The fourth and final day of competition will begin tomorrow from Ohio.
