LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Senior Mary Dell was named the PSAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by conference officials after a stellar weekend at Penn State and at Bucknell.

On Friday from Penn State, Dell ran the opening leg of the distance medley relay. The Lady Raider quartet won the event, besting a Division I-laden field that included Ohio State, Connecticut, Buffalo and Tennessee.

The performance was less than one second off the school record that was set last season when Shippensburg won the national championship with a meet record of 11:24.54. Friday's run was also more than 20 seconds faster than the automatic qualifying mark and actually served as a Division I provisional mark. It is the best time this season in Division II.

Dell returned to the track on Saturday at Bucknell where she posted a time of 2:14.72 in the 800-meter run that provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Championships and ranks her eighth in the nation and first in the PSAC. She is now nationally ranked in three events, as she is already 19th in the mile.
