LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Freshman women's swimmer Julia Brownrigg was honored on Tuesday by conference officials as the PSAC Women's Swimmer of the Week after a memorable weekend that included a new school record set at the 2009 Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason University.

Brownrigg finished fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.36 seconds that broke a five-year school record in the event previously held by Kim Magnanelli. She also won the consolation group final of the 200-yard bacsktroke, recording a time of 2:06.58. Her third individual event was an 11th-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:11.40.

Overall, Brownrigg posted 'B' cuts in all three of her individual events and also helped contribute to a pair of Top 10 finishes in relay events, as Shippensburg finished sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay and seventh in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Brownrigg and the Lady Raiders will return to action in two weeks at the 2009 Zippy Invitational, hosted by the University of Akron.
