INDIANA, Pa. - Junior Drew Hagerich and freshman Shawn Robbins both earned two first-place finishes in freestyle events on Saturday afternoon as the Shippensburg men's swimming team earned another PSAC dual meet victory with a 149-105 win over Indiana (Pa.).

Shippensburg (3-5) won its third-straight PSAC dual meet to close the regular season and started the afternoon with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. The quartet of junior Nate Ryan, senior Ryan Rocchi, freshman Patrick Hamill and senior Gabe Oropollo posted a winning time of 1:41.48.

The Raiders finished 1-2-3 in the 200-yard breaststroke to earn 16 points. Freshman Tyler Prete won the event with a time of 2:20.81, and freshman Evan Manning was right behind in 2:20.91. Senior Will Kane finished third in 2:23.33.

Robbins won the 100-yard freestyle in 49.14 seconds and the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.28. Hamill won the 100-yard butterfly in 53.60 seconds and was second in the 100-yard freestyle behind Robbins with a time of 49.30 seconds.

Hagerich won the 500-yard freestyle in 4:57.00 for a three-second victory and was also the top swimmer in the 1,000-yard freestyle, taking home first place in that flight by nearly 16 seconds with a time of 10:01.91.

Sophomore Jamie Kendall won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.74 seconds while Oropollo was .01 second behind in second place. Some of Saturday's runner-up finishers included freshman Joe Keefe in the 100-yard backstroke, Prete in the 100-yard breaststroke, sophomore Alan Snyder in the 200-yard butterfly and junior Shane Wolter in the 200-yard backstroke.

Shippensburg has concluded its regular season dual meet schedule and will now have four weeks to prepare for the 2009 PSAC Swimming Championships, hosted once again by the Raiders at Cumberland Valley High School. The four-day tournament will be held from Thursday, February 19 through Sunday, February 22.
