SU Announces Its 2010 Field Hockey Schedule

Shippensburg has released its field hockey regular season schedule for the 2010 campaign. The Lady Raiders are coming off a 20-3 campaign in which the club reached the national semifinals. Nine games will be hosted at Robb Sports Complex this season.

Senior field hockey forward Jamie Doughty was named to the 2009-10 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's At Large Second Team for the College Division of District 2. Doughty was a team captain and the third-leading scorer in 2009.

Junior field hockey defender Kristen Brooks was selected to the 2009-10 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's At Large Second Team for the College Division of District 2. Brooks appeared in 22 games as a back and a defensive midfielder.

Shippensburg Junior Kristen Brooks To Receive Prestigious Clarence Schock Fellowship Award

Shippensburg junior Kristen Brooks will be named as the 2010 recipient of the Clarence Schock Foundation’s Fellowship Award. The award, given annually to one student each from Cheyney, Kutztown, Millersville, West Chester and Shippensburg, provides tuition for a full year.
