Kutztown Plates Eighth Inning Run to Defeat Shippensburg, 1-0

The Shippensburg University softball team battled No. 16-ranked Kutztown Golden Bears through seven scoreless innings in game four of the 2008 NCAA Division II Mid-Atlantic Region Championship before dropping a 1-0 decision in eight innings Wednesday afternoon at Kutztown's North Campus Field.

Knopf, Cornell Selected To All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team

Shippensburg University softball freshman shortstop Hope Cornell and junior utility Lori Knopf were both selected to the All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team released on Wednesday afternoon by the conference. Cornell was also named to the Daktronics, Inc., All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

Hess Wins 400 Meters, Lady Raiders Finish Third at PSAC Championships

Freshman Erica Hess won the 400-meter dash and sophomore Mary Dell posted two NCAA-provisional qualifying efforts as the Lady Raiders finished in third at the 2008 PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
